Both divers came into the final day of the event at Yas Island in the United Arab Emirates capital as the leaders at the halfway stage and they were able to ensure they converted their advantage into gold medals.

Hunt topped the men's podium with a total score of 443.40 points, achieved after his two dives today yielded 97.20 and 140.40 respectively.

The 32-year-old reigning world champion finished comfortably in front of nearest challenger Steve LoBue of the United States, who took silver on 405.30.

The bronze medal went the way of Michal Navratil, from Czech Republic on a total of 381.95.

"The secret? Just training, there isn’t anything else," said Hunt.

"Work, work and again work. 

"Fortunately, the nerves didn’t affect me much, so I could finish strong, in a competition where the level was quite high.

"The job is done, I can now relax.

"I am glad to be on the top one more time, but the season is far from being over. 

"The Worlds are coming soon and this is definitively a good motivation to perform well in Budapest."

Jimenez built on her solid display yesterday to earn her maiden gold medal at this level as she finished on a total of 316.45.

The Mexican athlete was given 62.40 and 87.75 points for her two efforts today to ensure she sealed gold in Abu Dhabi.

Rhiannan Iffland of Australia claimed the silver medal on 312.80, while Belarus’ Yana Nestsiarava completed her four-dive competition in 296.80 to secure bronze.

"I’m dreaming about this success for two or three years now," said Jimenez.

"I just can’t believe it.

"I am so happy and relieved.

"This gold medal is also the result of my country’s and my friends’ support for all these years. 

"Things haven’t been always easy, but today is a day to celebrate."
