Tai Tzu Ying gained a fifth successive Badminton World Federation World Superseries tour title today in Singapore with another superb victory over Olympic champion Carolina Marin.

The Taiwanese world number one duly repeated her victory over the same player in the final of last week's Malaysia Super Series.

Unlike in Kuching, where she was forced to recover from a set down against the Spaniard, Tai dominated in two straight games today.

The 22-year-old pulled away at 14-14 in set one to eventually triumph 21-15, 21-15 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

It continued a superb run which has also included victories in Hong Kong, Dubai and Birmingham.

“I’ve not thought too much about winning these five tournaments," admitted the winner afterwards.

"I think everyone around me is more concerned about these five titles.

"But for me, I just want to play well in every tournament."
