Olympic silver medallist P.V Sindhu and Saina Nehwal will lead the home charge at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) India Super Series, which begins tomorrow.

The tournament at New Delhi's Siri Fort Indoor Stadium is the second Super Series event of the season, following on from the All England Championships in Birmingham earlier this month.

Sindhu, the third seed, will be one to watch after her runners-up finish at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in August.

She will begin her women's singles campaign with a first round match against an as yet to be determined qualifier.

Fellow Indian Nehwal will be another to watch with the sixth seed hoping to recapture the title she won in 2015.

The London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist enjoys New Delhi after winning the Commonwealth Games title in the capital in 2010.

She will face Taiwan's Lee Chia-hsin in her first round contest.

The top seed is Spain's Carolina Marin, who defeated Sindhu in the Rio Olympic final.

Lying in wait in her first round clash is South Korea's Kim Hyo-min.

In the men's competition, Malaysia's top seed Lee Chong Wei has withdrawn to leave Denmark's Jan Ø. Jørgensen as the top ranked player.

Lee, a triple Olympic silver medallist and the All England winner, has opted to rest before his home Malaysia Super Series event next month.

Jørgensen will begin against Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto while his compatriot Viktor Axelsen, the Olympic bronze medallist, has been drawn against India's home hopeful Ajay Jayaram.

Competition in New Delhi begins tomorrow with qualification rounds, and runs through until April 2.
