Rio 2016 Paralympic medallists will be back in action from when the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup season begins in Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates tomorrow. 

A total of 75 shooters from 20 countries will be in action in all, including Slovakia's double Rio 2016 champion Veronika Vadovicova.

The 34-year-old won gold medals in the R2 women’s 10 metre air rifle standing SH1 and R3 mixed 10m air rifle prone SH1 competitions, and will be looking for more success in Al Ain.

Abdullah Sultan Alaryani will also be one to watch at his home competition.

The UAE shooter won three silver medals in Rio in the R1 men's 10m air rifle standing SH1, the R6 mixed 50m rifle prone SH1 and the R7 men's 50m rifle three positions SH1.

Vasyl Kovalchuk will be favourite in the R5 mixed 10m air rifle prone SH2.

The Ukrainian, who lost his arm when attacked by a bear on a trip to the zoo aged 10, successfully defended his London 2012 title at Rio 2016. 

Competition is due to take place until February 27.
