The match schedule for the korfball competition at this year's World Games in Wroclaw has been published.

Eight teams will compete in the mixed gender sport in the Polish city, in two groups of four.

Action will begin on July 21 and run through to July 25.

Chinese Taipei will meet Germany in the first match of the competition in Group B, with matches taking place at the WKK Sport Center.

Defending champions The Netherlands, who won the 2013 World Games title in Cali in Colombia, will then open their Group A account against China.

The opening day will also see hosts Poland face Britain in Group B, with Belgium and Australia colliding in Group A.

The group phase will then continue on July 22 and 23, before the semi-finals for the top two nations in each group.

Positional matches will be played on July 25 before the final and medal ceremony.

Korfball has been contested at every edition of the World Games since the 1985 edition in London.

The Netherlands has won all eight titles, beating neighbours Belgium in the final on every occasion.

Both countries will have to play in the same group in Wroclaw after Belgium were replaced by Chinese Taipei as the world number two ranked country.

This occurred as the Belgians opted not to compete at last year's Under-23 World Championships in Olomouc in the Czech Republic.

It meant being drawn with the Dutch was a possibility for the first time.
