Busanan Ongbamrungphan claimed a home women's singles title as Chinese players dominated elsewhere at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Thailand Masters today in Bangkok.

The number one seed required less than an hour to beat fourth-ranked Aya Ohori of Japan in today's final at the Nimibutr Stadium.

After battling through the first set 21-18, Ongbamrungphan was slightly more comfortable in claiming the second, 21-16.

There was home disappointment in the corresponding men's singles final, however.

Third seed Tommy Sugiarto of Indonesia proved too strong for home hope Kantaphon Wangcharoen.

Wangcharoen,  a bronze medallist at the World Junior Championships in Bilbao in Spain last year, had excelled to reach the final but was ultimately outclassed 21-17, 21-11.

China were dominant in all three doubles events.

Huang Kaixiang and Wang Yilu won 21-19, 21-23, 21-16 in a tight men's doubles final against Taiwan's Lu Ching-yao and Yang Po-han.

Cheng Qingchen and Jia Yifan won 21-16, 21-15 in more comfortable fashion against Puttira Supajirakul and Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand in the women's doubles final.

Zhang Nan and Li Yunrei then completed the hat-trick by winning against Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Taerattanachai.
