The Netherlands claimed two gold medals today as the International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track World Cup closed in Dresden.

Marianne St-Gelais of Canada also completed a golden weekend with 500 metres victory.

Russia and Hungary also claimed gold medals in the EnergieVerbund Arena.

Suzanne Schulting went one better than the 1,000 metres silver she won yesterday by battling to victory in the women's 1,500m for the first Dutch gold.

She crossed the line in 3:37.857 to finish just 0.85 clear of second placed South Korean, Noh Ah Rum.

Valerie Maltais of Canada placed third in 2:38.011.

More Dutch success came in the women's 3,000m relay when Schulting teamed up with Yaravan van Kerkhof, Larade Rujiven and Rianne Vries to post a winning time of 4:11.121.

Italian and Canadian teams took silver and bronze in respective times of 4:11.286 and 4:12.543.

St-Gelais' second success of the weekend came in 43.963 seconds over the 500m distance.

She edged-out Kim Ye-jin of South Korea, second in 43.027, and team-mate Jamie MacDonald, who posted 43.289.

Shaolin Sandor Liu of Hungary won the corresponding men's race in 40.617.

South Korea were forced to settle for another silver medal, courtesy of Hwang Dae-heon 0.125 behind, while Liu's younger brother, Shaoang, clinched bronze in 40.755.

Russia's Semen Elistratov, Vladimir Grigorev, Victor An and Alexander Shulginov combined to win the men's 5,000m relay.

Netherlands had to settle for second place on this occasion in 6:43.177.

South Korea managed 6:43.288 for bronze.
