Today's action at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Para Nordic Skiing World Cup in Western Center in Ukraine was cancelled due to poor weather.

The men's long distance cross country had been scheduled to take place but was abandoned.

It has now been rescheduled for tomorrow, which was initially pencilled in as a rest day.

Sprint freestyle events are then set to take place on Monday (January 16).

Biathlon races will then feature on January 17, 19 and 20.

Ukraine's skiers were in emphatic form on the first day of the competition yesterday, claiming multiple podium finishes and two victories.

In the men’s middle distance event Ihor Reptyukh, Ukraine’s Sochi 2014 cross-country silver medallist, was successful.

Multiple Paralympic champion Oleksandra Kononova then added a second victory to the host country’s haul in the women’s middle distance event.

The event is the last major competition before the Finsterau 2017 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships.
