Tickets for the pool stage of this year's Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland are now on sale following the release of the match schedule.

Pool stage matches are set to take place across two venues at University College Dublin - the UCD Bowl and Billings Park - across three match days on August 9, 13 and 17.

Defending champions England open the tournament at the UCD Bowl on August 9 when they meet Pool B rivals Spain, before New Zealand take on Wales in the opening game of Pool A at Billings Park.

Hosts Ireland then get Pool C underway when they welcome Australia to the UCD Bowl on the first day of competition, before France play Japan at Billings Park.

Day tickets for each of the three pool days start at €5 ($5.20/£4.30) for schoolchildren and €10 ($10.50/£8.60) for adults at Billings Park.

At the UCD Bowl, prices start at €10 ($10.50/£8.60) for schoolchildren and €15 ($15.80/£13) for adults.

Family tickets, for two adults and two children, start from €25 ($26.30/£21.60) at Billings Park and €40 ($42/£34.60) for the UCD Bowl, per day.

Pool stage tickets have been made available here, where tickets for the final stages of the tournament are already on sale.

"The pool stage fixture announcement and tickets going on sale is always an exciting time for teams and fans as they can really now plan in detail for August," said World Rugby chairman Bill Beaumont.

"The schedule has thrown up some fascinating matches, not least home favourites Ireland playing Australia on the opening day in Dublin.

"The 2014 tournament in France was seen as a huge success, as was the 2010 version in England.

"As women's rugby is currently one of the world's fastest growing team sports, we have no doubt that the 2017 event in Ireland will continue that upward trend and inspire the next generation of future stars."

Following the conclusion of the group stage round, the semi-finals will take place at the Kingspan Stadium on August 22 with the final scheduled for August 26, once again at the home of Ulster Rugby in Belfast.

Ranking play-off games will take place at Belfast's Queen's University on the same dates.
