Tennis Australia have announced an extension to their partnership with sports equipment manufacturer Wilson - which will take their existing relationship up to 2018.

The deal is the first to combine both Tennis Australia and all state bodies into a sole, nationalised agreement.

It continues an 11-year relationship between Wilson and the Australian Open, with the agreement seeing the company official ball of the first Grand Slam tournament of the year.

Local players are also set to benefit with Wilson and Tennis Australia set to launch at national club ball programme.

The initiative will see Wilson tennis balls be supplied to grassroots clubs and local coaches.
