The 25-year-old landed a huge cab double underflip and a clean backside 720 double grab to earn a total of 184.00 points.

It was enough to successfully follow up her two wins from last month, when she triumphed in Milan and Pyeongchang.

"It couldn’t have been a better start to the season," said Gasser.

"It feels almost unreal to have taken three wins in a row.

"Big air is actually much better for me than slopestyle.

"I only have to focus on two good tricks which is better for my nerves."

Great Britain’s Katie Ormerod finished runner-up with 158.50 points, while reigning slopestyle world champion Miyabi Onitsuka of Japan came third with 146.00 in front of a crowd of 10,000 people.

Gasser leads the newly-created Super Series standings with 2,000 points, followed by Ormerod with 1,060.

The three-legged Super Series was launched "to present and highlight the extraordinary skills of the world’s best big air athletes in freestyle skiing and snowboard".

It is made up of the FIS Big Air World Cup stops in Milan, Moenchengladbach and lastly Quebec City, where action is scheduled to take place from February 9 to 11,

In the men's event, two-time big air world champion Roope Tonteri of Finland triumphed with a score of 186.00 points for his backside 1440 indy and cab 1260 indy.

Switzerland’s Jonas Boesiger came second with 183.00 points, 2.5 more than Britain’s Billy Morgan,who rounded out the top three.

"In a while I didn’t win anything," said Tonteri.

"It feels really good to be on the podium.

"I actually made a bet with my friends and team-mates a year ago that I could only shave off my beard when I make it to the podium.

"Finally, time has come to be able to do so."

Tonteri leads the men’s Super Series rankings with 1,220 points, while Belgium’s Seppe Smits - a sixth-place finisher in Moenchengladbach - is second with 1,200.

Canada’s Mark McMorris remains the FIS Big Air World Cup leader, despite missing today’s event.

The FIS Snowboard World Cup tour is due to continue later this month in Copper Mountain, a ski resort in the American state of Colorado. 

Qualification is due to take place on December 15 and competition is set for December 17.
