The disciplines for the 2017 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Indoor Tour, the second staging of the event, have been confirmed.

Next year's edition of the Tour will consist of five meetings, staged throughout January and February.

The inaugural season was composed of four established IAAF Indoor Permit meetings, and ran from February 6 to 20.

It opened in Karlsruhe in Germany and then visited Boston in the United States, before returning back to Europe for meetings in Stockholm in Sweden and Scottish city Glasgow.

This year it has been decided to include meetings in Düsseldorf in Germany and the Polish city of Torun, with Glasgow replaced with Birmingham for the British leg.

The Stockholm leg has also been removed.

Dates have also been confirmed for this year's events, with the Tour due to begin in Boston on January 28 before it is scheduled to conclude in Birmingham on February 18.

The men's 1500 metres and women's 60m, 800m and pole vault events will feature in all five meetings.

Men's high jump features in four meetings with the exception of Düsseldorf on February 1, while the men's 60m hurdles will be contested everywhere apart from the Boston stage.

In the US city men will also compete in the long jump, which features in all but the Torun and Düsseldorf events.

Women's action in Boston also includes the 3,000m and triple jump.

The recently added visit to Düsseldorf will also feature a men's 400m competition, while female athletes will also compete in shot put and triple jump in the German city.

Karlsruhe will also play hosts to the women's 3,000m and shot put competitions on February 4.

Men's 400m returns in Torun on February 10 as well as women's triple jump, while men's 400m in Birmingham, as well as women's 3,000m and shot put competitions, will bring competition to a close in the English city.
