The International Korfball Federation (IKF) has confirmed the list of competing nations in the two groups for the 2017 Europa Cup.

The 10 national champions have been split into Group A and Group B for the annual club competition.

The 51st edition of the IKF Europa Cup is scheduled to be held from January 12 to 14 in the city of Teylingen in The Netherlands.

The tournament is being organised by the Royal Dutch Korfball Federation in close cooperation with TOP/Quoratio, the reigning Dutch champions who are representing their country at the event.

TOP/Quoratio have been drawn with Korfbal Klub Brno of the Czech Republic, Club Korfbal Vallparadis of Catalonia, Turkish outfit Kocaeli University Sport Club and Hungarian side Szentendrei Kinizsi Honvéd SE in Group A.

Group B is comprised of Belgium’s Boeckenberg Korfbal Club, runners-up in 2016, Germany’s KV Adler Rauxel e.V, Trojans Korfball Club of England, Portugal’s NC Benfica and Polish team UKK WUM Warszawa.

The full match schedule for the tournament is due to be released in the next few weeks, according to the IKF.

The announcement of the final set of teams due to take to the court in Teylingen, located just over 50 kilometres south-west of Dutch capital Amsterdam, comes after the last qualification event was held in Cardiff last month.

PKC/SWK Groep won the last edition of the tournament in January this year after overcoming Boeckenberg 31-21 in Budapest.

NC Benfica took home the bronze medal thanks to a 22-14 victory over Brno KK.
