Indonesia's Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Fajar Alfian shocked home favourites and number one seeds Chen Hung Ling and Chi-Lin Wang in the men's doubles final.

The unseeded duo silenced the crowd inside the Hsing Chuang Gymansium as they overcame the tournament's heavyweights in a five game thriller.

Ardianto and Alfian won the first two games 11-6, 11-6, to stun the Chinese Taipei favourites.

Their opponents responded, however, winning the next two 11-13, 11-9, to level the match.

It was the underdogs who would prevail though, narrowly clinching the title in the fifth and decisive game, 12-10.
