Belarus has held its first ever "Curling Day" to celebrate the sport.

The event, held at the Speed Skating Stadium in Minsk Arena, also marked the opening of the first specialised curling school in Belarus.

The Day, organised by the Belarussian Curling Association and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus (NOC Belarus), also saw the women's team presented with their new uniforms.

They are due to be worn for the first time in international competition at the European Curling Championship in Scotland, scheduled to start on November 18 and last until November 26.
