Sarah Walker elected as an IOC Athletes’ Commission member

New Zealand’s Sarah Walker has been elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. She had initially finished in fifth place in the IOC Athletes’ Commission elections, behind German fencer Britta Heidemann, Hungarian swimmer Daniel Gyurta, South Korean table tennis player Ryu Seung-min and Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva.

Walker has now been confirmed to have also been elected to the Commission. More news on this as we get it.
