American Jarryd Wallace will hope to upset home favourite Jonnie Peacock when they compete in the men’s T44 100 metres at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics Grand Prix Final at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

Competition is due to take place tomorrow, with the final Grand Prix of the season being held as part of the Müller Anniversary Games.

Wallace, the former world record holder over the distance, will be eager to defeat the reigning Paralympic champion Peacock as they head closer to Rio 2016.

The duo could face competition from South Africa’s world silver medallist Arnu Fourie and Germany’s European silver medallist Felix Streng over the distance.

Reigning world champion Richard Browne will not be competing, after the American sprinter announced his retirement earlier this week.

Peacock will be one of several British Paralympic stars in action in front of their home crowd, with David Weir and Hannah Cockroft expected to receive huge attention at the venue, which hosted the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Weir, who won four of his six Paralympic gold medals in London, will renew his rivalry with Switzerland’s Marcel Hug in the men’s T54 1,500 event.

The Netherlands’ Kenny van Weeghel will hope to threaten the duo, with the current 200m world champion having opted to tackle longer distance races.

Cockroft is aiming to claim gold in the women's T34 100, 400 and 800m events at Rio 2016 and the double London 2012 champion will hope to hone her preparations by triumphing over the shorter distance.

She will look to overcome American rival Alexa Halko and her British team-mate Kare Adenegan.

Competition is due to be broadcast on British broadcaster Channel 4, who are due to cover the duration of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

They will show live coverage between 11.45am ans 2.15 pm GMT tomorrow, while they will then broadcast a highlights package from 3.45pm to 4.00pm on Sunday (July 24).
