United States' Kevin Jardine is to chair a new Coaches Advisory Group set up by International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing with the aim of improving global standards.

Seven "experienced coaches" spanning four continents have been asked to join the group.

All were chosen by the governing body's Sport Technical Committee, and should be available throughout the year to answer questions on topics such as equipment, sport rules and the field of play.

Their aim is to "gather all questions and queries from the wider coaching community, to provide consistent answers and advice".

Jardine has over 20 years of experience in high-performance skiing and coaching and is considered one of the best-qualified Para-skiing coaches in the world.

He has previously served as head coach of both the US and New Zealand teams.

Jardine will be joined by fellow North American Jean-Sebastien Labrie as well as three coaches from Europe: Russia's Alexander Nazarov, France's Christian Femy and The Netherlands' Falco Teitsma.

They will be joined by South Korea's Kazuhiko Ban and New Zealand's Ben Adams.
