Ukraine’s Oleg Verniaiev won the men’s parallel bars on the final day of action at the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Challenge Cup in Bulgarian city Varna, completing a hat-trick of gold medals.

Having won top honours in the floor exercise and pommel horse yesterday, Verniaiev shone on the apparatus on which he claimed world gold in 2014 and silver in 2015 as he posted an unrivalled total of 15.833 points.
