The Nordic Combined World Cup is scheduled to get underway in Ruka on November 26 for a two-day competition.

Lillehammer has been earmarked to host events from December 2 to 4, with a competition at an as yet unconfirmed location suggested for the following week.

The closing World Cup event of the 2016 is expected to take place in Ramsau in Austria, before resuming in January with events in Kuopio in Finland, Val di Fiemme in Italy and Chaux-Neuve in France.

Competition is due to return to Austria for the Nordic Combined Triple in Seefeld from January 27 to 29, with two-days of action then due be held at the start of February in Pyeongchang, hosts of the 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

From South Korea, two events will be held in the Japanese city of Sapporo on February 10 and 11.

The World Cup will then take a break for the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, due to take place in the Finnish resort from February 21 to March 5.

Oslo and Trondheim in Norway are then due to host competitions on March 11 and 15 respectively, before the World Cup draws to a close in Schonach in Germany on March 19.

Ottesen also revealed that the Continental Cup will begin in the United States on December 9 and is then expected to travel to Estonia, Norway and Finland in January.

Austria and Slovenia are set to stage events the following month, with Klingenthal in Germany and Chaikovskiy in Russia bringing the series to a close in March.

The calendars remain subject to change and to the approval of the FIS Nordic Combined Committee.

It will then be put towards the FIS Congress for approval in Cancun during June.
