Paralympic stars Livia De Clercq and Jean-François Deberg were among 14 Belgian athletes chosen to reveal their delegation’s clothing for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The event was hosted by the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (COIB), during a fashion show at Tour and Taxis in Brussels.

Around 800 supporters of Team Belgium were in attendance, with a dinner being held alongside the fashion show.

Sprinter Livia De Clercq and cyclist Jean-François Deberg were among the models to display the clothing, which was designed by COIB partners.

The Rio catwalk theme was the “Best of Belgium”, with the COIB aiming to ensure that each aspect of the show had a Belgian twist.

Choreographer Marc Bogaerts put together the show, which aimed to combine both sport and dance.

Terre Bleue and Ambiorix produced the clothing for formal occasions, while Jako and Skechers created the attire which will be worn by the teams at the Olympic and Paralympic Villages and when travelling.

Fedustria, who represent the companies of the textile, woodworking and furniture industry in the country, provided the fabrics to Terre Bleue.

The American luggage manufacturer Samsonite are creating the suitcases for the delegation.
