The International Swimming Federation (FINA) has extended its partnerships with Malmsten AB and Duraflex International ©FINA

Malmsten AB and Duraflex International have reaffirmed their commitment to aquatic sports by extending their existing sponsorship deals with the International Swimming Federation (FINA). 

Swedish brand Malmsten AB, whose co-operation with FINA dates back to 2009, will remain the international governing body's Official Supplier of swimming racing lane lines, as well as water polo goals and field of play equipment, until 2020.

"FINA is extremely happy to renew this partnership with Malmsten," said FINA President, Julio C. Maglione. 

"FINA highly values this long-term relationship and is confident that the equipment supplied by Malmsten contributes to the overall success of FINA showcase events."

Margareta Malmsten, Malmsten AB executive director, added: "We are very proud to have renewed confidence to supply equipment to the important international FINA Championships when the world's best swimmers, water polo players and other aquatics athletes meet.

"It is of great importance for us to know that FINA are satisfied with our equipment.

"Our understanding and involvement during aquatics events are of great pride to us."

Duraflex International, the world’s leading springboard manufacturing company, has similarly lengthened its association with FINA as the Official Supplier of diving boards and diving board stands for an eight-year period from 2017 to 2024.

"FINA is pleased to renew the agreement with Duraflex and we are proud to be associated with such a respected company," said Maglione.

"FINA and Duraflex both strive to grow diving in new and exciting ways, for the benefit of our athletes and officials."

FINA initially entered into partnership with Duraflex International in June 2012 with the agreement running though to 2016. 

"Duraflex is pleased to renew its agreement with FINA," said Steve McFarland, Duraflex chairman and chief executive. 

"We are proud to associate our company with such a respected organisation as FINA.

"We share a strong commitment to the sport of diving, its athletes and officials.

"Duraflex is especially pleased to join FINA in a long-term agreement as we both strive to grow our sport in new and exciting ways.
