An official website has been launched with less than 50 days to go until the final round of the men's European Volleyball Championships, taking place across the four cities of Sofia and Varna in Bulgaria and Busto Arsizio and Turin in Italy.

The website, accessible here, has been released to coincide with the 50-day countdown, targeting "those eager fans that cannot wait to start getting into the right state of mind in preparation for Europe’s premium volleyball competition".

It also marks the start of the media accreditation process for the event.

Useful information, such as match schedules and other competition info, will be included along with links to online ticket sales, venue addresses and tourist information about the four host cities.

It will be regularly updated over the next seven weeks, with various new sections to be added.

In addition to the English-language version currently online, versions in Bulgarian and Italian are also on their way and will be added soon.

Links to social media platforms dedicated to the competition on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Google+ will be provided, with a Facebook page also to be developed.

Action will begin on October 9 before concluding on October 18, with Russia looking to defend the title they won for the first time in 2013.

As well as the hosts and holders, the 16 nation line-up will be completed by Serbia, France, Germany, Belgium, Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, The Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Full standings, statistics, statements and galleries will be available via the website once action begin.
