The Academy, a new international sports leaders conference, has announced that representatives of Burson-Marsteller and ESP Properties, leading companies in global public relations and communications, and media investment management respectively, will bring their expertise and knowledge to the event.

Dennis Landsbert-Noon, chairman of Burson-Marsteller’s EMEA Sports practice, a network of highly experienced sports marketing professionals, is joined by Sean Jefferson, responsible for ESP Properties’ consulting and media partnerships.

Burson-Marsteller’s strategic insights and innovative programming have built and sustained strong corporate and brand reputations.

Their contributions at the Academy will include providing tools to sport leaders on how their organisations can be influential when speaking to specific targets.

Born from among others sponsorship consulting experts IEG and media investment company GroupM, it is claimed the newly-launched ESP Properties will be the world's leading media investment management company.

With hubs in New York, Chicago, London and Singapore, plus additional teams in Los Angeles, São Paulo and Dubai, ESP Properties already has a well-known client base which includes New Zealand’s national rugby union team, National Basketball Association’s Cleveland Cavaliers, the England and Wales Cricket Board, and Brazilian football legend Pelé.

The company will provide some key learnings and practical ideas on how sport organisations can make the most of their partnerships with sponsors.

“We are thrilled to have Burson-Marsteller and ESP Properties join us in this inaugural edition of The Academy,” said Lars Haue-Pedersen, managing director of TSE Consulting, which supports the Academy.

“As leading world companies in their field, they will surely bring immense added value to an already rich programme.”

The Academy, scheduled to take place on May 27 and 28 at the newly-renovated Olympic Museum in Lausanne, has already confirmed the participation of a wide range of organisations from across the sports world, including National Olympic Committees and International Federations.

The conference, which has now sold out, is designed to allow participants to hear insights from business, entertainment and political experts and leave with the practical tools needed to put these insights into action for the benefit of themselves and their organisations.

The two-day programme will consist of keynote speeches, presentations and interactive sessions, aimed at exploring three key themes - revenues, promotion and influence.

As the exclusive media partner, insidethegames.biz will be providing editorial content, interviews and coverage of the Academy.
