Boxers from five of this year’s World Series of Boxing franchises will compete at the 2015 Pan American Games in the Canadian city of Toronto, it has been announced.

The Cuba Domadores, winners of the 2014 event and widely tipped to retain their crown in this year’s edition, will have 10 members of their team at the Games, all but one of which currently lead the world rankings in their respective weight category.

The unbeaten quartet of flyweight Yosbany Veitia Soto, bantamweight Andy Cruz Gomez, lightweight Lazaro Alvarez Estrada and light welterweight Yasnier Toledo Lopez will all feature in the competition in Toronto.

They join welterweight Roniel Iglesias Sotolongo, Arlen Lopez Cardona, a middleweight, light heavyweight Julio Cesar La Cruz Peraza and super heavyweight Lenier Eunice Pero Justiz, as well as unbeaten heavyweight Erislandy Savon Cotilla, in what is set to be an explosive tournament.

Domadores’ Joahnys Oscar Argilagos Perez, currently ranked at number four in the light flyweight division, will also be in action.

Caciques Venezuela, who finished fourth in this season’s Series, are well represented as eight of their fighters will compete for gold.
