Having received a bye through the first round of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Series 1 event, defending champion Gordon Reid of Britain began his campaign with a straightforward 6-0, 6-0 victory over France's Benjamin Rouyer.

Reid will face Sweden's Stefan Olsson as the fifth seed also progressed without losing a game against Brazil's Rafael Medeiros, while France' Nicolas Peifer and second seed Joachim Gerard of Belgium will face the United States Jon Rydberg and South Africa's Evans Maripa respectively, after winning their last 16 ties.

France's Michael Jeremiasz plays in the final quarter-final having beaten Brazil's Carlos Santos 6-2, 6-2 and will now face Maikel Scheffers for a place in the semi-final, after the Dutchman overcame Britain's David Philliipson 6-1, 6-0.

The Netherlands are guaranteed a semi-finalist in Louisiana as Marjolein Buis and Michaela Spaanstra set up a women's quarter-final meeting, with Spaanstra also protecting a record of being the only woman yet to drop a game in the tournament.

In the closest fought last 16 match France's Kgothatso Montjane battled back from a set down to beat America's Kaitlyn Verfuerth 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 and will now face Germany's Sabine Ellerbrock after she saw off the challenge of Britain's Louise Hunt 6-4, 6-2.

British interest remains strong in the women's draw with Lucy Shuker and Jordanne Whiley booking quarter-final matches against Germany's Katharina Kruger and Chile's Francisca Mardones respectively.

The quad singles event has already reached the semi-final phase, with the top four seeds hopes of claiming the Cajun Classic title remaining alive, after they all recorded routine quarter-final wins.

Top seed David Wagner set up a mouthwatering last four clash with defending champion Jamie Burdekin of Britain, after Wagner beat Israel's Itay Erenlib 6-0, 6-0, while Burdekin overcame the challenge of Brazil's Ymanitu Silva 6-1, 6-0.

Dylan Alcott will continue his pursuit of consecutive ITF 1 Series titles when he faces Britain's Andy Lapthorne tomorrow for a place in the final.
