Redkzoubov has dominated the World Cup this season and accompanied by his guide Evgeny Geroev transferred their performances onto the World Championships stage, posting a combined time of 2min 09.28sec in the men's visually impaired giant slalom.

Spain's Jon Santacana led after the first run but eventually took silver alongside Miguel Galindon Garces in 2:09.88, while Patrick Hetmer and Miroslav Macala took bronze.

Redkzoubov's teammate Bugaev has proved unbeatable so far in the Canadian resort and claimed gold in the men's standing giant slalom to take gold in 2min 01.19sec, ahead of Austria's Markus Salcher and Matthias Lanzinger, who took silver and bronze respectively.

"I am really happy with this result," Bugaev said.

"I thought I could win two golds maximum here, so four is really good.

"It is impossible results, I am so happy."

The women's giant slalom event saw the third Russian gold of the day after Alexsandra Frantceva posted a time of 2min 24.05sec from her two runs to claim victory.

Britain's 16-year-old Mille Knight claimed silver and Australia's Melissa Perrine secured bronze.

Marie Bochet's dominance of the women's standing events continued, as she earned her fourth gold of the championships, with the Frenchwoman claiming the giant slalom title in 2min 11.63sec.

Bochet could become the first athlete to win five world titles at consecutive World Championships.

"This victory is very fine as I was a little scared about the giant slalom as Andrea [Rothfuss] is very good in this discipline," Bochet said.

Rothfuss of Germany duly earned silver with 2:14.04, while Stephanie Jallen of the US sealed bronze in 2:20.49.

In the giant slalom sitting events Germany claimed double gold, with Anna Schaffelhuber claiming the women's title while Georg Kreiter took victory in the men's discipline.

Schaffelhuber earned five gold medals at the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympics and claimed her second title of the Championships after seeing off competition from Austria's Claudia Loesch and Japan's Momoka Muraoka, to take gold in 2:14.82.

Georg Kreiter edged out Corey Peters in a close fought men's competition, finishing 0.24sec ahead of the New Zealander, while Japan's Taiki Morii earned bronze.
