Paralympics Ireland and CPSI are on the lookout for a new team manager of the seven-a-side football team ©Getty ImagesParalympics Ireland and Cerebral Palsy Sport Ireland (CPSI) are jointly seeking to appoint a team manager to head the preparation of the Irish seven-a-side football team in the build up to Rio 2016. 

The primary aim of the team manager will be to secure one of the eight qualification slots on offer for the Paralympic Games through the 2015 European Championships in Hereford, England, and achieve a top-five finish at the Games.  

The successful applicant will be responsible for working with Paralympics Ireland on all aspects of the team's preparation for Rio 2016. 

The role will also involve working with the team's football coach on all logistical matters at events.

The Irish team is currently ranked sixth in the world and has reached the semi-finals of the the last two major competitions - the 2013 Intercontinental Cup and the 2014 European Championships, 

Ireland failed to qualify for the seven-a-side football competition at London 2012 but competed at Beijing 2008, where they were knocked out in the group stages.
