Austrian Marcus Swoboda was one of only three Para-canoeists to break the British stranglehold on gold at the World Championships in Moscow ©ICFGreat Britain claimed three more gold medals at the International Canoe Federation Sprint Canoe World Championships as Para-canoeists Emma Wiggs, Andrea Green and Anne Dickens all won world titles in Moscow.

Jeanette Chippington secured two world titles earlier in the week and Wiggs secured her second world crown of the Championships by following up her victory in the women's K1 TA 200 metres on Wednesday (August 6) with a win in the V1 TA 200m.

The Briton powered to victory ahead of Canadian Christine Gauthier and Ukraine's Nataliia Lagutenko just as she had done two days ago.

Green dominated in the V1 (LTA) 200m crossing the line, almost three seconds clear of Russian Larisa Volik, while Gauthier secured her third medal of the Championships taking bronze.

It was a much closer affair in the K1 (LTA) 200m as Dickens took the win by just over a tenth of a second, clocking 49,700sec to best Cindy Moreau of France who crossed the line in 49.813sec.

Australia's Amanda Reynolds took home the bronze.

In the men's events there were wins for Austria, Hungary and Ukraine.

Marcus Swoboda was almost a second clear of the field as he powered to a win in the K1 (TA) 200m ahead of Fernando Rufino de Paulo of Brazil and Russia's Victor Potanin.

"I was really looking forward to the race, [I was] really excited, but a little bit nervous too," said the 24-year-old Austrian.

"But in the end it came out quite good."

Yuriy Kikhayev ensured a gold for Ukraine after taking the K1 LTA 200m title, finishing just ahead of Romanian Iulian Serban and Leonid Krylov of Russia.

Four-time world champion Fernando Fernandes de Pádua of Brazil was surprisingly way off the pace in the K1 (A) 200m decider finishing fifth.

Hungarian András Rozbora took the win in this one with an impressive performance to beat Britain's Ian Marsden to the line, while Russia picked up another medal in the form of Igor Korobeynikov.
