In what is the International Tennis Federation's (ITF) year-end wheelchair tennis doubles Championship, top seeds Taylor and Wagner claimed a comfortable 6-1, 6-4 victory over number two seeds Antonio Raffaele of Italy and Shraga Weinberg of Israel, despite losing to the pair earlier in the round-robin stage.
After both partnerships had exchanged service breaks in the first three games of the first set, Taylor and Wagner, who won gold in the quad doubles event at London 2012, began to dominate to take the first set 6-1.
And despite more of a challenge in the second set, Raffaele and Weinberg simply could not match their American opponents as they went down in the second set 6-4.
"After losing to them in the round-robin we talked it over with our coach and came up with a strategy that we thought could work out against them and we stick to that and were able to pull through'" said Wagner.
"It's always cool to set a record that's out there to be broken and to win the singles and doubles masters in the same year is a real dream come true."
In the third place play-off, Sweden's Anders Hard and Marcus Jonsson ended their first Invacare Doubles Masters together by claiming third place after defeating Italy's Marco Innocenti and Giuseppe Polidori 4-6 6-1 6-3.
