Prince Imran, nominated for the challenge by his wife Nora, nominated three other people to brave the ice.

Making his choices before pouring the water over him, "just in case I'm too frozen", he nominated his son Tarrant, his niece Myra and her husband James.

"Also I think every NOC (National Olympic Committee) and CGA (Commonwealth Games Association) President should do it," he added.

He was cheered and applauded by a small watching crowd after completing the challenge, which has gone viral on social media with everyone from David Beckham to Bill Gates taking part in it.
