Registration is now open for the 2015 edition of the COE's Master in High Performance Sports course ©COEThe Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) is set to launch the 23rd edition of its Master in High Performance Sports course which is due to get underway early next year.

First launched in 1992, the course has seen more than 1,500 students pass through, with many going on to work with athletes across a range of sports on the Spanish Olympic team.

The course combines a mixture of distance learning and classroom teaching with a big focus on practical learning also, according to the COE.

The main learning objectives of the course are to refine and update the scientific and technical professionals in the field of sports training across different training environments.

It also aims to promote the development, dissemination and implementation of innovative proposals that respond to current needs as they arise in high performance sports.

Additionally, there is a focus on developing procedures to improve and align assessment practices to the needs of the teaching and learning of high performance sports.

Students will be taught by a range of individuals with academic backgrounds, as well a number of leading figures with experience in high level coaching and training in Spain.

Registration is open until mid-December.
