Tuelo Serufho has returned to his full-time role as chief executive of the Botswana National Olympic Committee ©BNOCTuelo Serufho has officially returned to his role as chief executive of the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) after successfully overseeing the organisation of the Africa Youth Games in Gaborone earlier this year. 


Serufho, seconded to Botswana Africa Youth Games Organising Committee (BAYGOC) as chief executive, is now back full-time at the BNOC. 

But he will continue to be in charge of closing down BAYGOC, including the final audit and compilation of reports. 

Apart from the finance and human resources departments, everyone else has now left BAYGOC. 

The main task left is finishing the final report for the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).

More than 2,000 athletes from 51 African countries competed in 21 sports in Gaborone in May. 

Egypt finished top of the overall medals table.

They won a total of 89 medals, including 44 gold.

Among the spectators was Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee.

"We are not in a rush to finish the work," said Serufho.
